The Holiday House Inn & Motel - Scarborough

The beachside location provided fine ocean views. Despite the picturesque setting, the room's dated condition detracted from comfort, with coarse sheets and a malfunctioning water heater. The breakfast options featured good homestyle Japanese dishes but could have benefited from a more varied menu. The experience fell short due to the room's lack of upkeep and the unaccommodating policies during a health crisis.

My stay was good on vacation. Thoroughly enjoyed the standard queen room with the windows open, felt like I were home. The location was exceptionally nice close to everything.

Marvellous location not far from Freeport, less than 20 minutes from downtown Portland and the trolley that comes by hourly a goes down to the center where all the vendors, could not be better.

Charming Beachfront Stay with Nostalgic Vibes

The location is picturesque, right on the beach. Mornings were good with a continental breakfast served in a cozy dining room, with a taste of nostalgia. The room could use some updates to enhance comfort.

The rooms are exceptionally clean and cozy, the bed is comfortable. It has stunning and absolutely perfect location close to everything. It's just off the trolley that comes by hourly a goes down to the center where all the vendors as well as a residential area away from the big hotels.

The room is too small.

Setting was particularly good and beautiful, I didn't feel like leaving.

Overall the staff was welcoming and accommodating.

The ocean views were amazing and the charming dining room hosted good breakfasts. While the room needed maintenance, it hardly dulled the overall experience of relaxing by the beautiful beach, where my partner and I made wonderful memories.

Our a double room was more than fine. All the staff was outstandingly accommodating and greeted us warmly.

My grandson loved exploring the quaint beach nearby while we enjoyed delicious breakfast in the charming dining room. The ocean view was amazing.

Nestled near the beach, the hotel's location offered serene ocean sounds. Breakfast at the dining room was nostalgic, reminiscent of better times, sharing warmth with other guests.

Unfortunately, the dated rooms held a charm that couldn't mask the discomfort-sheets felt coarse, and we endured cold showers due to a malfunctioning water heater.

Consider requesting a terrace level room. The ocean views and sounds are serene and enhance the overall stay.

The location is directly on the beach. We experienced beautiful ocean views. Breakfast was included and enjoyable. The room was a Double Room with Two Double Beds. I stayed for 2 nights as a couple 🌅

The holiday house inn & motel offers great beach access and a lovely sun terrace with lounges for relaxation. The friendly staff keeps the rooms super clean and the included breakfast is a good start to the day.
